OCC Journalists Win Fair Awards

Orange Coast College students won six awards--five for first place--in the college division of the Orange County Fair Media Competition.
First-place winners were Eric Rodriguez, photography portfolio; Sekhar Nabhan, education writing and nonbreaking news; Amiee Fukomoto, unsigned editorial; and John O’Neill, best sports news story. O’Neill also took third place in humorous writing.
The students work for OCC’s student newspaper, Coast Report. Nabhan and Fukomoto are co-editors.
