Trona 30, Vasquez 23--The Mustangs (1-8, 0-4) rallied from a 15-3 halftime deficit to take the lead but allowed two fourth-quarter touchdowns at Vasquez.
Nick Gray returned the second-half kickoff 80 yards for a touchdown for Vasquez, and Wes Anderson’s six-yard touchdown run tied the score later in the third quarter.
A five-yard touchdown pass from James Matthews to Frank Keehner put the Mustangs up, 23-15, early in the fourth quarter.
