So the California Supreme Court has upheld Gov. Pete Wilson’s cutoff of prenatal care benefits to illegal immigrants (Nov. 13). How proud the Republican Party must be. No more free ride for those undocumented fetuses who do nothing but take, take, take from the taxpayers of California while providing nothing in return. I think the next logical step would be to require these freeloading fetuses to learn English and sign loyalty oaths before being allowed the privilege of birth in a taxpayer-supported hospital.
Hey, they might as well learn young: In Pete Wilson’s California, freeloading is verboten and only Arbeit macht frei. (Sorry for using non-English phrases, Pete, but gosh, somehow they just seemed so right.)
