In the Sleaze Zone

I was shocked and disgusted to see Liz Smith’s review of the much-talked-about sex video of Pamela Lee and her husband, Tommy Lee (“In the Buff, but Not Buffed,” Nov. 20). Smith has engaged in the lowest form of keyhole peeping by (1) watching the tape and (2) writing about it in a national newspaper as if it were a home video release.

As a rule I have enormous respect for The Times, but by publishing Smith’s piece, the paper has sunk to the shameful depths typically occupied by rags like the National Enquirer.
