Jim Murray, give Ken Griffey Jr. a break [Oct. 5]. Is it not possible that he benched himself in the true spirit of the game? Yes, home runs are a great thing. Winning is better. What is a home run record without the championship? Perhaps more ballplayers should learn from Junior and sacrifice for the good of their team.
