City to Get Clean Air Award for Rail Service

The city’s commuter rail program, serving about 200 people daily, has earned it a Clean Air award from the South Coast Air Quality Management District.
The city has commuter rail stations at Anaheim Stadium and Anaheim Canyon Business Center, and provides connecting services from the stations to employment and resort areas.
Anaheim was the first Orange County city to build and maintain two MetroLink stations and provide services to connect commuter rail passengers to their workplaces, Diana Kotler, transportation programs planner, said.
The program offers shuttle and taxi services, discounted fares for new rail riders and bicycle lockers at each of the stations.
