To further arts programs in the city, Barbara Pieper, director of the California Arts Council, will visit Anaheim on Friday to meet with officials and arts leaders.
“We invited her to come and see some of the art in public places in Anaheim and to showcase the Anaheim Ballet, which is a brand new cultural event,” said Kristine Thalman, intergovernmental relations officer.
Thalman said city officials want to discuss existing arts programs and the city’s future objectives.
Pieper will tour the Pond of Anaheim, Pearson Park Theatre and the downtown district. She will also view a rehearsal of the Anaheim Ballet, which recently relocated to the city.
