Muir 63, Hoover 8--Sultan McCullough had only nine carries, but he was a master of efficiency.
Playing slightly more than two quarters, he rushed for 319 yards and four touchdowns, and the Mustangs (6-2, 3-0) rolled up 538 yards in a Pacific League game.
McCullough, who has rushed for 1,482 yards this season, scored on runs of 66, 71, 65 and 57 yards.
Muir’s LaShaun Ward completed four of five passes for 92 yards and two touchdowns, and ran 55 yards for another score.
About the only spark for Hoover (1-7, 0-3) was Demarris Jackson, who finished with 71 yards rushing and a touchdown in 23 carries.
Hoover’s Welser Maltez completed only one of five passes for four yards and the Tornadoes finished with 67 yards.
