Three Israelis assaulted a fourth man from Israel with a knife Thursday morning outside a hotel room on East Thousand Oaks Boulevard, authorities said.
The three men, who fled in a car, remain at large and should be considered armed and dangerous, said Sheriff’s Sgt. Rod Mendoza.
The victim, Ilia Masheka, told sheriff’s deputies he was fighting with the men outside his hotel room in the 1400 block of East Thousand Oaks Boulevard when one of them stabbed him with a knife in the right arm, Mendoza said.
Masheka was able to break free of his attackers and run to his brother’s room, Mendoza said. His brother, who was not identified, ran out with a handgun and scared off the men. No shots were fired.
The attackers fled in a black 1994 Mazda 626 sedan and sped away with a license number of 3GQM367.
Masheka was taken by ambulance to Columbia Los Robles Hospital in Thousand Oaks, where he was treated and released.
