Concert Series to Begin at Heritage Park

The seventh annual Concerts in the Park music series in Heritage Park begins Sunday with Dana Point South Coast Swing & Vocal. The concerts are at 4:30 p.m. and will continue every Sunday this month as follows:
* Aug. 9: New Frontier, performing country.
* Aug. 16: Pandemonium Steel Drum Band, featuring Caribbean-style tunes.
* Aug. 23: Mountain Folk Singers, with folk music and originals from the ‘60s.
* Aug. 30: U.S. Navy Band of San Diego, a 35-piece band playing a variety of music.
The park is at the end of Old Golden Lantern. The concerts are free, and people are advised to bring lawn chairs or blankets. Only street parking is available. Information: (949) 496-4251.
