Two Lanes of Boulevard Set to Close for Construction
- Share via
Beginning Monday, Rosemead Boulevard will be reduced to two lanes----one northbound and one southbound--at Valley Boulevard for construction work, Caltrans announced Friday.
The reduced number of lanes will be in effect 24 hours a day, seven days a week for more than four months. Two lanes in each direction will be closed.
Concrete will replace asphalt on the Rosemead portion of the intersection and sidewalks will be added to the Valley side, among other improvements.
The city obtained a permit from Caltrans and contracted the work to Daemon Construction. The estimated cost of the project is more than $1 million.
