Italy-Only Rail Passes Available

Starting Monday, Rail Europe begins selling Italian train passes for the first time. The Italy Rail Card covers eight, 15, 21 or 30 consecutive days of travel within Italy, for prices starting at $177 second class and $266 first class. The Italy Flexi Rail Card lets the traveler pick the dates, good for any four, eight or 12 days within a month, with prices starting at $139 second class and $209 first class.

Italy has long been included in the multi-country Eurail Pass, but the Italy-only passes allow for shorter travel periods and can also save money.
