BICYCLE RACING: The Encino Velodrome resumes its racing schedule with 15 races, beginning at 7 p.m. Entrance fees are by donation only.

* BOAT SHOW: American Boating Jubilee, Long Beach Shoreline Village Marina, noon to 8 p.m. It showcases 500 pleasure boats both in and out of the water.

* HORSE RACING: Thoroughbreds, Del Mar, first post 4 p.m.; quarter horses, Los Alamitos, 7:15 p.m.

* MAJOR LEAGUE BASEBALL: Pittsburgh at Dodgers, Dodger Stadium, 7 p.m.

PARTICIPATION SPORTS

* BASEBALL CAMP: The Milwaukee Brewers will hold an open tryout camp at Dedeaux Field at USC. Players 16-23 are invited and should bring their own shoes, gloves and uniforms. Registration starts at 9:30 a.m. and the camp begins 10 a.m.
