Clipper forward Lamond Murray was arrested early Monday morning on spousal assault charges, said a spokesman for the Los Angeles Police Department.
The 6-foot-7, 235-pound Murray was arrested about 4:30 a.m in Hollywood by officers from LAPD’s Hollywood station, said officer Jason Lee.
Murray was later released on $50,000 bail, Lee said.
A court date was set for Aug. 31, said Sgt. David Halm of the Sheriff’s Headquarters Unit.
Clipper spokeswoman Jill Wiggins said team officials could not comment due to the NBA lockout, which prohibits players and officials from having contact.
