Beefed-Up School Security Sought After Shootings

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — A state legislator wants a police officer and metal detectors at every school in the state in response to the school shootings at Jonesboro.
Rep. Bobby Trammell represents part of the city where four students and a teacher died in a school shooting March 24 at Westside Middle School. Two boys, ages 12 and 14, were convicted Tuesday in the attack that also wounded another teacher and nine students.
