Sowing the Seeds of Hate Crimes

Re recent hate crimes.
“With liberty and justice for all.” These words, which everyone in this country learns at an early age, ring as hollow today as they did when they were first penned.
How can this country or any country and people survive when they are taught to hate? We are taught this by parents, friends, churches and schools--the people in our lives who should be teaching us just the opposite. Learning prejudice and bigotry start early with throwaway remarks about race.
We are either God’s greatest creation or God’s biggest practical joke. It is always our decision what we do, and we have to live and die with it--unless we unlock our minds and hearts.
