Re “Medical Care and HMOs” letter from Ernest A. Pillado, M.D., Aug. 9.
I owe my life to Dr. Pillado. Throughout many years, I had life-threatening medical problems requiring hospital care for a month at a time. The follow-up care he requested and the attention I received are signs that he has not been restricted by others.
