Children Invited to Free Carnival

Children can eat all the ice cream, play all the games and ride all the rides they want for free at a carnival today hosted by Sparks Sidewalks Schools Community Outreach.
Sparks is throwing the carnival for disadvantaged children who live in the county’s motels, but all children are welcome, said Ed Rodriguez, pastor of On Fire Four Square Church. The organization will provide free bus transportation for about 1,000 children to and from 10 motels and low-income apartments.
The event will be from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the church, 8601 Western Ave. Information: (714) 993-3745.
