Micro Therapeutics Posts $1.9-Million Loss

SAN CLEMENTE —  Micro Therapeutics Inc., a manufacturer of medical devices, incurred a net loss of $1.9 million, or 29 cents a share, compared with a net loss of $1.7 million, or 36 cents a share, a year ago. Sales doubled to $837,204 from $418,875.

For the year, a net loss of $7.2 million, or $1.17 a share, was reported, compared with a loss of $5.6 million, or $1.40 a share, for 1996. Sales for the year advanced 93% to $2.7 million from $1.4 million.
