VENTURA — A sea gull overloaded a circuit on a power pole in midtown Friday, leaving 1,600 customers without electricity for nearly two hours, Southern California Edison said.
The power went out about 3:20 p.m. and remained off until crews restored electricity at 5:20 p.m., said spokesman Mike Montoya. The area affected included residents south of Poli Street, west of Seaward Avenue and north of Thompson Boulevard.
