The Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors announced Thursday that it has hired Daniel J. Wall as its chief legislative representative in Sacramento. The veteran political operative replaces Clifford Allenby, who left recently to take the helm of the state Department of Developmental Services.
Wall will be responsible for presenting the county’s position on legislation, and for advocacy of the county’s interests before both the state Legislature and the governor’s office. He will also work closely with Los Angeles County’s large but often fractured delegation in Sacramento.
Wall will be paid $112,500 a year.
“He knows the ins and outs of state government,” Supervisor Yvonne Brathwaite Burke said in a statement. “I believe he’ll be a major asset to L.A. County.”
