Prolong International Corp.: The Irvine maker of automotive and industrial lubricants reported that first-quarter net income climbed to a record $1.6 million, or 6 cents a share, from $279,648, or 1 cent a share, a year earlier. Sales rose 86% to $10.8 million from $5.8 million.
