An auction of more than 50 foreclosed homes in South Los Angeles will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Quality Hotel, 5249 W. Century Blvd.
The homes, with an average price of $120,000, are owned by Freddie Mac, which purchased the mortgages on the homes from the original lenders and now owns the properties.
Countrywide Homes Loans will offer financing on the homes. Second mortgages will be offered to eligible borrowers by the Los Angeles City Housing Department.
