The first in a series of four summer concerts at Historic Town Center Park is set for June 17.
San Juan Summer Nites, planned for the third Wednesday of each month from June through September, will feature live entertainment, food booths with samples from restaurants, a business expo with 30 booths and children’s activities.
“This is designed to help local businesses,” said Mechelle Lawrence, economic development administrator.
Organizers also are encouraging groups of eight to reserve seats for preconcert parties. Each will include a wine and cheese reception beginning at 5:30 p.m.
Reservations are required.
Tables are $150 for each concert or $500 for the four-concert series.
Contributions from 13 local businesses raised $10,090 for the concert series, which will cost the city about $4,000.
