Shauna Barnard
Laguna Hills, Sophomore; Swimming
Barnard won two individual titles to help Laguna Hills win its third consecutive Southern Section Division II team championship Saturday at Long Beach’s Belmont Plaza with 261 points. Barnard won the 200 individual medley (2 minutes 3.89 seconds) and the 500 freestyle (4:54.20), both All-American time standards. She was named swimmer of the meet.
Jamie Cail/Swimming
* Marina, junior. Won the 200 individual medley (2:01.59) and the 500 freestyle (4:44.69) in the Southern Section Division I finals.
Kristen Marquis/Diving
* Santa Margarita, junior. Won the Southern Section Division I diving title with 555.60 points.
Geney Orris/Softball/Infield
* Brea Olinda, senior. Hit her sixth home run of the season--a grand slam--and 30th of her career to set a section record.
