“Not long ago on a stormy night, I was having dinner at the Ventana Inn. There was a fire crackling in the dining room and I was eating venison and drinking a Talley Vineyard Pinot Noir. I’m a big fan of Pinot Noir--I think it has a tremendous versatility and can go with a wide variety of foods--but this was just one of the greatest Pinots from California that I’ve ever had.”
