Illegal Immigrants

Raoul Lowery Contreras (“Will Americans Do the Dirty Work?” Commentary, May 8) has missed the point of Barbara Coe’s billboard on I-10. The problem is unchecked, massive illegal immigration defying U.S. laws and bringing crime, drugs and diseases.
It would be cheaper to pay higher prices for strawberries than to allow 5 million illegals to walk our streets and take these jobs. The only winners are employers getting cheap labor.
Welfare people would be forced to work. If not, we eat fewer strawberries. Thanks, Barbara. You are my hero.
