The Anaheim/Orange County Visitor & Convention Bureau will receive $2.25 million over the next three years to promote tourism throughout the county.
The Board of Supervisors recently approved the money to the Anaheim-based bureau.
Nearly 40 million people visit the county each year, generating significant economic benefits for large and small businesses, bureau officials said.
Last year, the tourism industry provided more than 140,000 jobs and $5.6 billion to the local economy.
Under a regional marketing campaign, print, electronic and broadcast media will be used to entice tourists to visit the county and its attractions.
