The Tustin Unified School District will host its first Authors Festival on May 27, featuring about 35 fiction and nonfiction writers.
The authors will spend the day at various district schools in kindergarten through eighth grades to discuss their books and lives, said Connie Newhan, the district’s library media specialist and event coordinator.
Visiting authors will include Julie Mammano, author of the popular children’s book “Rhinos Who Surf,” and Caroline Arnold, author of more than a dozen wildlife books.
