Cypress 11, Cerritos 7--Nikhil Daga won, 6-1, 6-4, 6-2, for host Cypress (17-3).

In Division I:

Dana Hills 17, Rowland Heights Rowland 1--No. 3 singles player Jon Lippert swept his sets, defeating Aaron Chung, 6-0, Nick Lin, 6-0 and Max Chang, 6-0. Dana Hills (20-0) will play host University in the second round.

University 12, Fountain Valley 6--Greg Biorkman led University (10-7) past the first round, winning his singles sets 6-1, 6-1, 6-3.

In Division III:

Santa Margarita 15, La Quinta 3--Conor Friedersdorf and Mike Doyle swept their sets at No. 3 doubles, 6-3, 6-2, 6-1, for host Santa Margarita (13-8), which faces Sonora in the second round.
