Nicole Bucciarelli
Women’s soccer
Bucciarelli, a senior, closed out her college career in style, with a goal and two assists in Irvine’s 3-1 victory over Cal State Fullerton Saturday.
It was the fifth consecutive game in which Bucciarelli scored a goal. She finished with 14 goals and five assists this season and is the Anteaters’ all-time leading goal scorer with 56 goals. She also had 17 career assists, giving her a school-record 129 points.
THIS WEEK
Women’s basketball: The Anteaters open their season at the University of San Diego at 3 p.m. Saturday. Irvine will be without post players Chelsea Mackey (suspended two games), Krissy Duperron (knee injury) and Char-Pei Chen (back injury). Duperron is out for the season and Chen may not return either.
Men’s basketball: Forward Adam Stetson missed Saturday’s exhibition game with a injured left foot. He is practicing again and is expected to play Friday when Irvine hosts the California All-Stars at 7 p.m. in the Bren Center.
Water polo: Ryan Bailey leads the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation with 77 goals. Saturday, when as the Anteaters play Pacific at noon at Heritage Park, will be his final home game. UCI plays Sunday afternoon at Pepperdine.
Women’s volleyball: The Anteaters close the season at UC Santa Barbara Friday and at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo Saturday. Both matches are at 7 p.m.
Men’s and women’s swimming: The Anteaters will compete in the Pomona Pitzer Invitational Saturday beginning at 9 a.m.
