Stealing a Moment at Skybar
Skybar, the beautiful but ultra-exclusive poolside bar at the Mondrian Hotel in West Hollywood, is still one of the hottest tickets in town and people are coming up with, shall we say, creative means of getting in.
Turns out some Hollywood folk (particularly the junior-agent and baby-mogul types) aren’t above stealing. This latest underhanded trend involves booking a room at the Mondrian (a minimum of $305 per night), pretending to “lose” your room key-card (which also serves as a pass to Skybar), ponying up a few bucks for a replacement key, and then checking out with the first key tucked away.
As of yet, the Mondrian management has not installed any equipment at Skybar to test the activity status of the key-cards (perhaps to avoid insulting current guests), but stay tuned.
