St. Paul 54, Crespi 13--Marcel Allmond scored four touchdowns, including two on punt returns of 65 and 82 yards, and amassed 272 total yards for the Swordsmen at Crespi High.
The victory, combined with Alemany’s victory over St. Francis, enabled St. Paul (9-1, 2-1) to clinch second place.
Crespi (5-5, 0-3) tied the game, 7-7, midway through the first quarter on a 12-yard scoring pass from Robert Muller to Kevin Carden. Muller and Carden connected for a fourth-quarter touchdown pass of 11 yards after St. Paul led, 54-7.
St. Paul outgained the Celts, 425 yards to 160. Muller completed 10 of 26 passes for 100 yards, with three interceptions.
