Halloween Carnival to Aid Local Groups
In addition to the usual tricks and treats, the Recreation and Park District’s annual Halloween Carnival will benefit local and nonprofit organizations.
Groups can receive up to $60 by staffing four of the district’s booths or by sponsoring a game booth of their own. Organizations can also raise money by pre-selling game tickets.
The carnival, held Oct. 31 as an alternative to trick-or-treating, will run from 5 to 8:30 p.m. at the Cypress Community Center, 5700 Orange Ave. Admission is free.
Information: (714) 229-6780.
