Campaign Time

* I agree with Tom Nagle (letter, Oct. 16). We need less time between primaries and general elections. I’m tired of being called as early as 8:30 a.m. or as late as 9 p.m. by someone wanting to know how I plan to vote, people knocking on my door at 10 a.m. on Sunday to ask the same thing and my mailbox overflowing with bulk-rate ads for propositions and candidates. I turn the TV on to be bombarded with the same ads over and over, each calling the other a liar.
It’s really a waste of money to have TV ads for months and months; 30 days is plenty of time. Besides, not even 50% of eligible voters bother to vote.
