Book Collection Drive to Start

For the third consecutive year, local Starbucks stores will collect children’s books for area schools.
“It’s a wonderful opportunity for us to celebrate literacy and give back to the children in our community,” said Sarah Crosby, Starbucks regional marketing specialist.
Ventura, Los Angeles and Orange counties and Inland Empire stores will collect new and used books from Monday to Aug. 15. Those dates were selected because they are near the new school year reopening weeks, Crosby said.
She said it’s hoped more than 35,000 books will be collected.
