2 Killed When Plane Hits Las Vegas Home

NORTH LAS VEGAS, Nev. — Two passengers were killed Friday when a small plane crashed into a northwest Las Vegas home.
Three people were aboard the 1966 single-engine Mooney when it went down near the North Las Vegas Airport about 12:30 p.m., sending a trail of smoke into the sky.
The pilot was thrown from the wreckage and pulled away from the crash by an off-duty police officer, officials said. He was in critical condition at University Medical Center.
The family who lived in the home was in the backyard when the plane hit, said Debbie Millett, McCarran International Airport spokeswoman. They were not injured.
The names of the victims were not released.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
