Jan Hethcock has been selected athletic director at Oaks Christian High, a private school in Westlake Village that will open in September 2000 with freshmen and sophomores.
Hethcock has been athletic director at Christian High in El Cajon. He will help select more than a dozen new coaches.
Oaks Christian is building state-of-the-art athletic facilities that include a football stadium, gymnasium, lighted baseball and softball diamonds, and a swimming pool.
More than 20 preliminary interviews have been done with coaches interested in teaching and coaching at the school, according to Principal Jeff Woodcock.
The first coaching hires are not expected until late in the fall or early next year, with football the top priority.
