Man Found Dead in Apartment Pool

An 81-year-old man was found dead at the bottom of an apartment house pool Thursday, and authorities said they think he may have accidentally fallen into the pool and drowned.
The man recently had knee surgery and walked with the aid of a cane, said Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman Brian Humphrey. Humphrey said the man may have slipped into the pool and been unable to get out.
The unidentified man was found by his wife around 1:10 p.m., when she returned home to the apartment complex in the 12800 block of Moorpark Street, Humphrey said.
