Applications are being accepted for the Women’s Opportunity Awards program sponsored by Soroptimist International of Buena Park.
The organization recognizes women who, as heads of households, need to enter the work force or upgrade their current job status. The program provides a $500 grant to the award winner, who then advances to other award categories. Applications must be submitted by Jan. 15. Information: (714) 739-6424.
