Alleged Russian Mob Members Charged

Ten members of an alleged Russian organized crime group were charged in New York City with kidnapping, armed robbery, extortion, arson and assault in a wide-ranging racketeering indictment, law enforcement officials said. Eight of the defendants charged in a 19-count indictment are said to be members of the Brigade that has been known as “Tatarin’s Brigade” or the “Bratva,” which in Russian means “the brotherhood” or “good fellows.”
