Freeway Onramp Crash Leaves Man Dead

GLENDALE — One man was killed Friday night after his car collided with another vehicle on a freeway onramp, overturned and burst into flames, authorities said.
The cars apparently collided on the Verdugo Boulevard onramp to the southbound Glendale Freeway about 7 p.m., California Highway Patrol Officer Richard Perez said. The victim, believed to be about 35 years old, was pronounced dead at the scene, authorities said.
The CHP was investigating the cause of the accident and had not confirmed the victim’s identity.
