8 Soka Students to Receive Master’s

Members of Soka University of America’s fifth graduating class will receive master of arts degrees in second and foreign language education today.
Mary Frances Kille Norton, an educator, philosopher and author, will deliver the commencement address at the 2 p.m. ceremony at Ikeda Auditorium in Minuteman Hall, 26800 W. Mulholland Highway.
The eight graduates came to Soka from South Korea, the Philippines and throughout the United States.
The university’s 33-credit master of arts program in second and foreign language education currently has about 200 students enrolled.
