Heart Condition

* Whatever other qualifications Bill Bradley might or might not have for the presidency, having atrial fibrillation should not be a disqualification (Dec. 11). I have had the condition in one form or another since 1964. Today, at 68, I exercise strenuously, carry on a full schedule of duties and otherwise live a normal life. With the proper medication and monitoring by a cardiologist, the condition is completely controllable. My mother had it for years and died of something else at the age of 87.
