The Police Department will observe “Lights on for Life Day” on Friday to remember those killed by drivers under the influence of alcohol and drugs. The department is asking drivers to turn their headlights on during the day to help mark the remembrance. Police will also be conducting a DUI checkpoint on 17th Street from 6 p.m. to 4 a.m.
