Irresponsible Face of Homelessness

Re “Young Face of Homelessness” (Dec. 19):
Your article fails to take into account the very basic and important issue of personal responsibility.
Those who indiscriminately bring children into this world without any reasonable expectations of being able to provide for them do not deserve our pity or support.
Unfortunately, the innocent victims, the children, do deserve it.
The social issues of homelessness, overcrowding, crime, will never be solved until the underlying problem of mindless propagation is dealt with. To imply otherwise is ridiculous.
