Re “Fast-Moving Brush Fire Hits La Canada and Glendale,” Dec. 22: The first paragraph states that this fire threatened “numerous expensive hillside homes.” When homes are threatened or destroyed by fire or other catastrophes, what difference does it make whether or not they are expensive?
