Raul Henderson; Ex-Green Beret Aided Veterans

Raul Medina Henderson, an early Green Beret advisor in Vietnam, who went on to become a veterans’ advocate in Los Angeles, died Friday of cancer at age 60.
Military services will be conducted today at 10 a.m. at Rose Hills Memorial Park in Whittier.
After leaving the Army, Henderson became an administrator at East Los Angeles College.
In 1973, he took a job at Cal State Los Angeles as a veteran affairs coordinator and most recently had worked as a campus life advisor.
