In another Estancia tournament game:
Estancia 64, Trabuco Hills 62--Dershaun Garner, who scored 20 points, made a layup with eight seconds remaining to win it for Estancia (10-4).
In the Brea Olinda tournament:
Brea Olinda 79, Cerritos Gahr 74--Ryan Wilber had 18 points, 10 rebounds and seven assists for the Wildcats (9-4), who made 11 of 15 free throws in the fourth quarter to seal the semifinal victory.
In the final of the Carson City tournament:
No. 9 Newport Harbor 61, Sacramento Kennedy 59 (OT)--Dustin Illingworth made two free throws with 15 seconds remaining in overtime to provide the margin of victory for Newport Harbor (11-4). Illingworth had 31 points and 11 rebounds and was selected as the tournament MVP. Aaron Yarnal scored 15 points for Newport Harbor.
In the Del Mar Torrey Pines tournament:
No. 1 Mater Dei 64, San Diego University 42--Jamal Sampson had 16 points and 10 rebounds and Cedric Bozeman had 13 points, seven assists and nine rebounds for the Monarchs (13-1).
No. 2 Ocean View 77, Riverside North 67--Jeremiah Dell had 23 points and 12 rebounds Marques Crane added 21 points and point guard Ryan Westbrook dished out ten assists for Ocean View (13-1).
No. 4 Villa Park 62, Carlsbad 59--Matt MacGinnis was six of seven from three-point range and finished with 29 points for Villa Park (12-2).
In the El Cajon Granite Hills tournament:
University 81, El Centro Central 70--Jason Garey, who had 20 points, made two of his six three-pointers during a 24-7 run for University (10-3), which made 14 three-pointers. University advanced to play Los Angeles Pacific Hills in the final.
In the Katella tournament:
Katella 44, Savanna 42--Katella advanced to the championship game when Savanna’s last-second shot bounced off the rim. Scott Luther led a balanced Katella attack with nine points. Katella will play Bolsa Grande in the final. Omar Amaral scored 25 points to lead Bolsa Grande past Norco, 65-40.
In the semifinals of the Kentfield Marin Catholic tournament:
Servite 56, Marin Catholic 54--Martin Iti had 18 points, 11 rebounds and five blocked shots for Servite (11-4).
In the Las Vegas tournament:
Las Vegas Western 79, Woodbridge 69 (OT)--Western scored on an offensive rebound at the end of regulation, then outscored Woodbridge, 22-12, in overtime to win.
