School Progress Report to Be Presented Tonight

COMPTON — A team of consultants who last week unveiled their progress report on the Compton school district and set a plan for improvements will present their findings to the community tonight.
The study was presented in Sacramento to politicians and some district officials, but parents and district residents will have the opportunity to learn about its contents at tonight’s school district board meeting.
The document outlines some of the improvements at the district but indicates that much remains to be done.
The meeting will be at Jefferson Elementary School, 2508 E. 133rd St., Compton. It will start about 4:30 p.m., but consultants are expected to begin their presentation about 6:30 p.m., said district spokesman Fausto Capobianco.
